Piñon Pine Salve

The pinyon pine is a beloved pine tree in the desert southwest.  It is treasured for its wonderful pine aroma, as well as its many traditional medicinal uses.

This salve made from the pinyon pine resin can be applied it to dry, cracked skin, for its, soothing, moisturizing and almost warming effects. It's aroma alone, makes this salve a showstopper, but it is also naturally endowed with many healing qualities. It is often called a "drawing" salve, which means it is useful for drawing things like infections and splinters form the body. It is a great addition to any first aid kit, backpack, or purse!
